Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011

Now that we've seen some typical light, fresh Spring looks, looks you can probably see yourself wearing while hanging out on a lazy Sunday, picnicking in the park, or al fresco dining under the summer night sky, I'd like to share with you Burberry Prorsum's Spring collection, a 180 from traditional spring fare.

Now the collection's got your typical neon brights and their signature Spring trench coats, perfect for rainy English weather, but this collection has a really hard edge to it, one you don't really associate with flowers or rainy days. Christopher Bailey's made some of the fiercest, most dangerous-looking motorcycle jackets that I've ever seen and I want all of them!

I can't even pick a favorite! Can you?

Club Monaco Shorts

I am now an employee of Aritzia and finally have some money to add a few Fall pieces to my wardrobe before the Spring collections usurp the racks! I celebrated by picking up a pair of leather shorts that I've been eying at Club Monaco for forever.

I think I visited that store about 5 times in the past 2 months, surreptitiously checking to see if the $99 tag had dropped at all. I knew the price was a BARGAIN (I have no qualms with spending hundreds of dollars on shorts); the only problem was that I was unemployed and could barely fork over $7 for a McDonald's meal.

Ebay ♥ Leather Motorcycle Vest

So something that all of you (potential) readers will learn about me is that I love VINTAGE, not cheap vintage reproductions and not even the cheap polyester/pleather variety of real vintage - no, I'm talking, the good stuff. I know that second-hand/used shopping isn't popular in Hong Kong but it's undeniable that the vintage-inspired look is (just visit any local boutique or H&M store and you will see the myriad, bohemian floral-print dresses and skirts on the racks and the blinding amount of 80s-inspired glam looks and power blazers).

Hipster's Playground Vintage

I would love to wear this vintage black, leather, motorcycle vest with something more feminine from one of the Resort 2010 lines (to be featured in my next post). I like that it's sleeveless and not cropped like every other "motorcycle" jacket out there. This one's much more badass.
